MORTON - Yvonne M. Clark, 78, of Morton, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
She was born Nov. 22, 1937, in Rockford, Ill., the first born of Paul and Myrtle (Johnson) Lundstrom. She married Thomas Clark on Sept. 8, 1957, in Rockford, Ill.
She leaves behind her husband, Dr. Thomas Clark of Morton; four sons, Tim (Laura) and Ty, both of Washington, Ted of Goodfield, Troy (Amy) of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Teri of Phoenix, Ariz.; her brother, Rich Lundstrom of Harbor Springs, Mich., her sisters, Karen Irwin and Sharon Broztek, both of Rockford, Ill.; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Yvonne put her husband through medical school and had the first three of her five children when he graduated.
For many years, she worked as a receptionist at the Morton Medical Center and worked in the lobby of the Morton Community Bank until health issues forced her to retire in 2007.
She loved family adventures such as ski trips in the winter and canoe trips in the summer as well as bicycle trips and tennis with her friends.
She was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church, the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary and the Salvation Army Auxiliary, and for many years was a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood drive.
She struggled with dementia the past eight years of her life, but never forgot the love that she had for her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Morton United Methodist Church in Morton, with Pastor Gary Motta officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service with the burial of cremated remains at Farmdale Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Morton Community Foundation and the Morton United Methodist Church Building Fund.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving care she received from the wonderful staff at Restmor. They made her last months pleasant and comfortable.
