MORTON - Milo C. Albrecht, 94, of Morton, passed away at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Born Sept. 16, 1921, in Morton, he was the third son of Levi and Lydia (Roth) Albrecht.
Surviving are one nephew, Wayne (Annette) Albrecht of Richardson, Texas; five nieces, Arlee (Richard) Blackburn of Lombard, Ill., Connie (Elvin) Krabill of Tiskilwa, Ill., Sylvia Aschliman of Chicago, Ill., Alice (John) Hill of Portland, Ore., and Shirley (Dave) Shenk of Elkhart, Ind.; and Milo's caregiver, Herbert Roth of Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Howard and Marion.
He graduated from Morton High School and attended Goshen College in Indiana and was a generous contributor to its nursing program.
Milo served in Poland with the Mennonite Central Committee as a machinery maintenance instructor following World War II.
Milo was a farmer all of his life in Morton until his retirement and a member of the Tazewell County Farm Bureau.
He was a longtime member of First Mennonite Church in Morton.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Apostolic Christian Restmor for the care they provided him.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at First Mennonite Church in Morton, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Aaron Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Tremont.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
