MORTON - Juanita M. Reilly, 81, of Morton, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her home.
She was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Van Buren, Ky., to Gilmond and Nancy (Peak) Ashby. She married William L. Crum and later married Richard Reilly on July 18, 1980, in Morton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2001.
Surviving are one daughter,Vicki Crum of Morton; two sons, Mark Crum of Orlando, Fla., and Scott (June) Crum of Gainesville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Angie (Dave) Craig, Joshua Crum and Stefanie Crum, all of Fulton, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda King of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diane Ashby of Festus, Mo., and Beverly Ashby (Jim Burdette) of Salt Lake City, Utah; many nieces and nephews; and Juanita's significant other, Dick Short of Morton.
Juanita worked as a waitress at The Cliftwood in Morton and later at Weinstein's Tap in East Peoria.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 318 Ladies Auxiliary, where she was involved in fund-raising and special projects. Juanita was loved by all of the Legion members. She volunteered for many events and was always willing to help whenever needed.
She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. She loved to listen to Neil Diamond and enjoyed attending several of his concerts.
Juanita had an amazing talent for oil painting and leaves behind a beautiful collection of her work.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, in the chapel at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
