MORTON - John W. "Bill" Roseberry, 89, of Morton, passed away at 3:56 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House in Peoria.
He was born July 30, 1926, in Sullivan, Ind., to Claude and Geneva (Hiatt) Roseberry. He married Helen Whitmore on July 28, 1946 in Sullivan, Ind. She preceded him in death on Nov. 16, 2000.
Surviving are his daughters, Claudia (Roseberry) Brown of Chandler, Ariz. and Teresa (Roseberry) Stenger of Creve Coeur and one grandson, Jason Stenger.
Bill was a veteran of WWII and had served in the Navy. After being discharged from the Navy, Bill returned home to Sullivan to work for the telephone company before moving to Creve Coeur and working for Caterpillar. Bill retired from Caterpillar as a superintendent of the molding line at Mapleton.
Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, wood working, golfing, gardening with his wife, many family dogs and spending time with his grandson Jason.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Ludwig Mortuary in Morton. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Ludwig Mortuary in Morton, with Rev. Christopher Rolland officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton, where military rites will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
